Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

I have ADHD and most likely autism, although the latter isn’t diagnosed (yet). I feel like these two are very much at odds with each other here. I struggle with social situations and just general uncertainty or unknown things. Planning things in advance, or at least researching everything that could be relevant, helps me cope with this. Also, once I’m mentally prepared to do something my brain really doesn’t like it when plans change. But otherwise, in environments where I’m more comfortable, I’m very much a “going with the flow” kind of person. My energy levels fluctuate a lot and schedules typically don’t work well for me. So I don’t make any most of the time.

I’m a mix of both. I do like to have some stuff scheduled so I have some sort of structure in my day to day, but I also like to go with the flow and see where life leads me.

When I go on vacation, I make a list of things I would like to see/do, then I prioritize and group things that are close together. Usually, I plan for one bigger event like going to a zoo or botanic garden for a few hours, then look at my prioritized list and go do other things close by. I can’t do a fully structured vacation unless someone else is planning it.

I like to think of myself as a "we'll see what happens" person, but hanging around my wife's family (who throws out ideas for things to do and then ... just don't) I'm feeling like I'm actually more of a planner. Maybe it's a relative sort of thing.

It depends ... do I have a full tank of gas, some snacks, and no deadline to return? I'll freestyle the fuck out of the day.

Do I have any constraint at all? Then I will plan the shit out of everything to avoid breaking that restriction.

Absolutely a planner. I'll have a plan for every day of our vacation.

Planner in most cases, but I'm also a bit neurodivergent...
