13 at work 6 at home.

Although in both cases all screens are different sizes and i have a kvm set up at home which allows me to switch the two larger (but still differently sized) screens to show my raspberry pi desktop or my wifes laptop for when she works from home where she has a 13 setup.

Edit: Actually i completely forgot, i have a small kvm at work too with a pi500 connected dual booting raspian and android. I use raspian to play classic dungeon keeper (with keeperfx mod) on my breaks, and android just to mess around and see what its capable of.

16, but the top monitor is a 55" TV mounted to the wall for watching movies.

I have an ultra wide and a vertical 1080p it's amazing

Ha, I'm not on here. Wait, that's probably a bad thing.

How is #6 only GIS and not also normal for many gaming rigs?

[–] SinningStromgald@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Probably because they don't have a fourth category for gamers.

9 is my setup but I don't gis on my computer, it's just my home office setup

5 reporting in!

I daydream of #16

I've worked on a reverse #10 before (i.e. vertical monitor in the middle, surrounded by two landscape monitors)

Apparently Linux Torvalds works on dual 6k monitors

[–] recklessengagement@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

11, and accurate. The only thing that stopped me was running out of display ports on my graphics card

[–] SaharaMaleikuhm@feddit.org 2 points 2 months ago

Nobody ever called me normal before 🥲

Yeah #10 is how mine is set up. Except the center monitor is an extra wide curved monitor.

You mean which mental illness? Hard to tell. My guess is SAD.

[–] TerHu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

my guess is bunny ears

I am close to #1, but I have a 16:10 not 16:9 monitor. My laptop lid is always closed. I am a 100% one monitor person.

I am considering an ultrawide at home, but I fear that I will get problems at work if I cannot have the same there. I am not sure, if the linear window manager I am using makes sense with an ultrawide. And third issue: My existing monitor is still good and and awesome features which seem to be rare on other except gaming monitors: auto brightness and presense sensor. At work I can live without these two things, because the desk space has alsways the same brightness.

#6 with a center at 1920x1080 with the two outside monitors at 2560x1080

Working my way to 8, but I lack the monitor arms. So it's three across and one-and-a-half above. In my defense, it's three different computers.

[–] Denalduh@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Man.. All those configurations and my monitor setup still isn't shown. I have two landscape with the right landscape being my main monitor, then another two portrait off to the right for scrolling and chat.

Rocking #6, 2x HD and one UHD

I had 6 (3x 27" 16:9 monitors), and then wound up with a 34" 21:9 ultra wide for my middle monitor. The side monitors stopped fitting on the triple monitor arm I had, but just barely. Enough that turning the monitors portrait made them fit again... so I'm pretty close to 10 right now.

5 is so much office work, one portrait for reading, one landscape for everything else

[–] stelelor@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

I'm in a GIS-adjacent field and I'm delighted to see both my home (#9) and my office (#13) setups represented!

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Can't believe there isn't laptop with monitor above.

[–] MoonRaven@feddit.nl 1 points 2 months ago

1080p left, QHD middle, ultra wide right.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I have a 6 and an 11.
