A greatcoat worn by the senior US border patrol official Gregory Bovino, who has spearheaded aggressive immigration operations across the country, has raised eyebrows in German media with some commentators saying it resembled a fascist aesthetic.

Bovino has been an increasingly recognisable figure during the raids in Minneapolis for the brass-buttoned, calf-length olive green coat, which is unlike the fatigues and body armor worn by many of the federal agents.

Along with his close-shorn haircut, the media organization Der Spiegel suggested in a video feature that Bovino’s look recalled that of a Nazi officer.

Fucking Temu Nazi.

[–] boomzilla@programming.dev 33 points 4 days ago

He's been filmed flashing HH Nazi salutes to his goons on downtime from terrorizing innocent citizens. He IS a full blown Nazi.

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 27 points 3 days ago

That tiny little bitch of a man is 100% wanting to invoke a particular aesthetic.

[–] zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 30 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

Nope, nothing in common with the SS.

Edit: This photo was published by CNN on Oct. 8th. It took the Germans only 3.5 months to realize he might be a Nazi.

It took the Germans only 3.5 months to realize he might be a Nazi.

Nah, we knew. And not just from his outfit.

Anyone who somehow still seriously doesn’t get that these people are absolute gas chamber enthusiasts

is a fucking dunce.

What is gun snow, and where would I find it?

[–] Techlos@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 4 days ago

Probably wherever the trees are exploding

Wherever you get your letit snow

[–] rustydrd@sh.itjust.works 28 points 4 days ago

I mean, that's probably why he wears it. He very clearly likes the Nazi aesthetic and seems to enjoy looking like one.

For comparison, here's a photo of Heinrich Himmler (Chief of the SS and Gestapo) and Richard Heydrich (Police chief):

The important thing to note here is that Germany, a country that has been cucked by America for over 50 years, is openly talking shit of the highest degree (non-racist Germans take their anti-Nazi stance very seriously, it's a big part of the culture). Living in the West in such interesting times is a bit concerning, lol.

Reminds me of someone else:

[–] GraniteM@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Okay, but let's also notice this specimen of athletic supremacy over here.

[–] BlindPenguin@lemmy.world 15 points 3 days ago

Text is German, but i guess you get the gist:

[–] Nualkris@lemmy.world 27 points 4 days ago (2 children)

...if the Germans are saying you have a ' nazi look'....

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 3 days ago

The US media is such shit that they can't report it themselves, they have to report a foreign media reporting it.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 5 points 4 days ago

He couldn't seem like more of a nazi with a red arm band and a dueling scar.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 11 points 3 days ago

There's no way that's standard issue, right? This guy is larping as a Nazi. What a sad little chucklefuck he is.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 12 points 3 days ago

Nothing would please him more than to be compared to his heroes.

[–] MyOpinion@lemmy.myserv.one 25 points 4 days ago

We don't have to guess we know they are Nazis.

[–] AcidiclyBasicGlitch@sh.itjust.works 19 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Was it not obvious? I feel like even if you're not German, you probably know what a little bitch cosplaying as a WWII Nazi looks like.

He looks like the gym teacher from Beavis and Butthead. Coach Buzzcut

"Hey every woman that ever rejected me, bet you're regretting it now. What am I up to? Just leading an illiterate army that targets and harms civilian women and children by order of a pedophile and convicted rapist. Look at my lil Nazi duster." 🥴

[–] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 16 points 4 days ago

They are carrying out fascist pogroms due to fascist beliefs, dressed like nazis. And the major media even in Germany can only muster saying "they look like nazis."

[–] LordMayor@piefed.social 13 points 4 days ago (3 children)

They all look like a bunch of people cosplaying, badly.

Always a good sign when the Germans think you dress like a Nazi, notwithstanding the current governments rhetoric and actions.

[–] Widdershins@lemmy.world 11 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Hugo Boss is still getting business

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

More likely he got it from one of those made up Amazon brands

He's a tiny little fella who feels like a big boy in his floppy coat. He is dangerous as well.

[–] RalfWausE@feddit.org 2 points 3 days ago

The thing is: The original Nazis had style (believe me: I have pictures of my grandfather that - if you leave the whole genocide thing aside - simply look cool), those cosplayers in that rogue British colony? Not so much.

Btw. It just says people on social media have likened the outfit to Nazis.
