Not talking about responsibilities?
What am I supposed to ask about then? Their stock price, which I have absolutely no interest in?

"you're not allowed to discuss any potential red flags with this position!"
Forget about what you're supposed to ask during an interview and focus on gluing their locks overnight on Sunday so that their "interviews" on Monday are disrupted along with all of their other day-to-day business. These assholes are spouting off all the time about no one wanting to work, then relentlessly waste the time of people pursuing employment with their company after run of the mill, sensible questions about the position and company.
I would say that salary and responsibilities are a fairly basic and fundamental part of a job. If they won't tell you that until you take the position, it usually means the job isn't worth it.
If you don't know what the job is...how do you answer any questions related to how you're qualified for it?
Have you read job listings? They give it a generic title, fill the description with corporate slopspeak jargon, and put really basic stuff in the required skills and experience.
The actual details of your day-to-day tasks are impossible to know until taking the job unless you specifically ask during the interview.
Bullet dodged.
Bullet: dodged
If those very standard topics are verboten during the job interview, imagine what it will be like if you were subordinate to those people.
Dodged a bullet!
Keep asking those questions. Any place worth working for will be happy to discuss this openly.
