I found lip balm to be a self-fulfilling need because without it my lips are fine but with it requires more lip balm. Lip balm orabora.

Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.
Rules…
- Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
- Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
- Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
- No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
- New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.
That's the trap I've been in for 25 years. When I try to go without I have chapped lip hell so I now can't be without it.
Nail files and emery boards. Got a diamond grit file in my wallet, emery boards all over the house and in the car. Also, bicycle tire levers. I seem to lose them, buy a new set, then find the old set.
I need stuff to be where I use it. Which means I need a lot of duplicate supplies for upstairs and downstairs. I have two tubes of toothpaste in the same bathroom: one in the shower, one out.
Oh, I do this too. We have 3 showers so I have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and face wash in each one. I usually get the large bottles and use travel sized ones in the showers, then refill as needed.
I do indeed have 2 lipbalms for each bag in use, 1 in the car and 2 spare.

In theory I have one lip balm that I try to keep in the trousers I am wearing. However I keep losing it, buying new one, finding the old one, putting the old one in a bag as a "spare", losing the new one....
I only have 2 lip balms; one for next to the bed and the other on my computer desk (where I spend most of my time). I’m weird about lip balms though, if I am remotely sick with anything, the lip balm gets tossed and I get a new one when I’m not sick anymore. Even if it’s barely used, it’s straight into the trash. After a long time of getting strep throat at least twice a year, I’m paranoid about lip balm holding onto bacteria like that.
Not sure if it’s girl math, but if my purse isn’t big enough to hold a book, it’s not worth having. I have exactly one small purse that would still fit a small paperback and one small black purse for fancy dinners, but everything else is big enough for a larger paperback or hardcover book.
That's weirdly affirming, I actually have three of these and it would be four if I had a car. Although these days I also like to use a sparkly lip oil instead.
