Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

while 9 in 10 republicans back Trump

In a sense the only part that matters in terms of the problem we face.

The hard core might be contracting a bit, but it is hardening as a result.

At this point, he's just an embarrassment. We need to hold him accountable and the world needs to stop censoring what's really happening.

I really feel that this latest poll will finally start the fire that burns his "Whitehouse of doom" down. /s

Slightly negative poll numbers + strongly-worded letter = REVOLUTION!

Does anyone really think the US isn't a one-party authoritarian state at this point?

Don't count on an election.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 weeks ago

I'm baffled that some people still seem to presume this will end with the next election

Let us take a moment to appreciate that this reporting is coming from a news website out of Alabama.

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 6 points 4 weeks ago

Dear anyone who voted for Trump: we fucking told you so.

[–] Red_October@piefed.world 6 points 4 weeks ago

People say he's "Gone too far" because if we say what we really think we "Get a visit from the FBI."

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 weeks ago

Fuckin' big media. Continually bobbing cat toys up and down just above our heads so we swipe like fools. Bring back truthful journalism again, not big media.

Does reading a "trump low in the polls" article or two every day make you feel better or optimistic?

That poll primarily shows that a good third of the American public is still to dumb to understand what is happening.

[–] aesthelete@lemmy.world 5 points 4 weeks ago

In addition to "going too far", he's also too far gone.

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Disastrous poll shows Trump’s White House return is a ‘failure’: Americans say he’s ‘gone too far’ .. and then added "but whatcha gunna do? I'm sure someone else will save us."

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 4 points 3 weeks ago

There's a literal post right now begging for the US to be invaded and its full of americans cracking the shits at people telling them to grow the fuck up and fix their own problems

Hes just plain stupidly evil. Even without comparing him to sunnier folks and times, he represents thr dregs of humanity

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 4 points 4 weeks ago

Americans say he’s ‘gone too far’

Let me know when they stop saying things and start doing them.

Does anyone think some hacker in thigh-high striped rocks is gonna take one for the team and leak the declassified Epstein Files?

Hey “The rest of Americans” who didn’t see this coming. The CEO famed businessman known for going bankrupt in his endeavors (including a casino), is running the newly established United States, Inc. I’ll assume you’re not smart enough to see it, but we’re going bankrupt. No one in charge cares about you unless you make them money. So when you can’t get food or water, you should have worked harder and been rich. But hey, no more trans and gays and brown people bringing in drugs or offending your easily manipulated eyes.

Honestly I hope the rest of the planet see this fall happen and takes out the billionaires by their checkbook. The ripple is huge here.
