Discuss Digg and it's return.

(Personally I have no faith, so someone who does should take over this community, dm me) They already moderated some of my comments there, no antirich comments allowed (mentioned stem cell tourism)

What’s the point of a new platform if the same shit is happening from another platform?

[–] Marshezezz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 months ago

Some assholes will make some money off it somewhere and that’s basically it

I can understand the frustration but really don't have a ton of compassion for those that leave reddit then try to duplicate reddit on every new platform they land on. This is a trash sub on every platform it's created on.

Sometimes watching dumpster fires can be cathartic. Especially when it's the same fire shared at multiple locations.

Digg is determined to shoot themselves in the foot, it seems.

Seriously! For years now.

“We can still make money riding coattails, right? I’m so tired”

IDK why anyone would go back to Digg. They sucked before, they'll suck again. I guess the younger generation wouldn't know about the old sucky Digg, tho. 🤔

People on there are just tired of reddit and nostalgic

[–] disregardable@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Of all the subreddits, Wallstreetbets is a real weird one to want to keep the exact same. I really don’t believe most people want to deal with, let alone prefer, the culture of that group.

Yeah, this issue is legit, but this specific case? Fuck that community. It's retards gambling with no logic. We need less of those communities, not more.

Wall street bets is a garbage grift sub anyway

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 2 months ago

its rich people trolling the people that put all thier money and losing it all, its pretty sad.

[–] echo@lemmings.world 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Fuck Digg... they should have stayed in their coffin and waited for Reddit to join them.

I just go on there to mention lemmy or piefed offhand in every other comment, like " I heard something similar on piefed, rest of my comment" Id prefer more ppl here.

Looks like Digg is just becoming the same shitshow that Reddit is.
