66km from Melitopol it seems to be on the coastal edge of one of the main axis of attack.

I can imagine it's not the most popular of beach vacation destinations at this time.

That's how ISW is referring to the war, as a whole: a Russian offensive against Ukraine. Some might argue that the term "offensive" is too soft, but I don't think it should reflect poorly on ISW. Their daily updates on the war are reliable and thorough, and are referenced heavily by mainstream news organizations.

Oh, I'm not doubting the ISW, I read their reports often, they are very reliable. It was more of a dig on the Russian position being more defensive as of recently.
