With the Trump admin looking who to attack next around the world I don't trust any of these numbers.
The regime admitted to 2,000.
And while 12,000 is the highest number I've seen so far, it's got to be somewhere between those figures.
Us media is not credible here either. They are being tooled for iran war 2.
CBS is currently beholden to the Nazi's and I don't know if I trust their reporting. It would be in the US' best interest to show Iranian instability as well as how violent "real" protesting is to try and dissuade domestic ideas.
That said. If Iran is murdering 10k citizens a week, their government won't last through the end of the month. One can only hope.
Any unrest in iran right now will be associated with the us and israel, and be ruthlessly crushed for that reason, coming on the heels of israel's bullshit.

Al jazeera is literally the Qatari state media.

Qatar is a country that try to keep an image of the country who get along with everybody that's why it has good relation with the two enemies the usa and iran.

Exposing yourself to propaganda, if you understand it's propaganda, is just another piece of data to anyone seriously trying to understand the situation. Propaganda exposes desire. Knowing that Al Jazeera is Qatari state media, one could want to hear what Qatar wants people to think is happening, and compare that to what western media wants you to think is happening, and compare that to other sources etc etc. Comparing propaganda against trusted and vetted sources exposes lies.

I really, really hope the protesters succeed. Iran has such a glorious history and wonderful people - they deserve so much more. It could retake its place as the shining example of countries in the region, as it was for most of the last 5000 years.
Not in the cards now I am afraid, only iran war 2 is in this hand.
As long as the US doesn't march in and say "We'll help you with your oil and write your laws for you."
At this point I suspect it's less about wanting the oil under Iran and more about not wanting China to have it.
