I doubt anyone in the middle-east is eagerly awaiting the Brits to come mess things up again. Hope Keir Starmer isn't dumb enough to actually want this or naive enough that he thinks he'll be able to make a positive contribution.

Bit of a tangent, but given we're still dealing with the messes created by the British empire to this day, we can expect to be dealing with the messes the American empire made for at least another few hundred years. Depressing thought.
