I had the omakase dinner at KONO where they serve Japanese skewers specializing in using different parts of chicken. It was an awesome experience, the food was amazing and the service was some of the best I've ever had.

That looks great. Also looks pricey :-)

Honestly, for $175/person and in NYC. It’s not terribly pricey.

Multi course meal plus it’s essentially a private dining experience with friends/family.

Yup, we did pick the place because it's reasonably priced for an omakase in NYC. It was a special occasion though.

Importantly: were you still hungry when you left?

I’m not OP and never been here. But been to other “omakase” experiences and did not leave hungry.

I am OP and we were all very full by the time we were done! :)

I would be passing drive thru after eating there. But it looks so good though.

Surprisingly left feeling completely stuffed - more than enough courses to leave you full, though we did order a couple extra skewers to try!

Quality over quantity.

To be honest though I have had the same feeling with some “small plate” restaurants.

Oh wow. I just watched a YouTube video about this restaurant's chef last night!

Great video! He really excels at using all parts of the chicken. The guy is also very pleasant. He came out to say hi after the dinner and was very friendly.
