Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

To the privileged, equality feels like oppression.

[–] YtA4QCam2A9j7EfTgHrH 7 points 1 month ago

And this is no where near anything close to equality

It’s just one study, but it’s not that wild to think that companies actually do engage in reverse discrimination for the sake of optics. The bigger picture is obviously more complex, but the fact that many leftists simply deny this takes place at all is sad and unhelpful.

That's not even a remotely objective study. A self-reported anonymous online poll of people who claim to be hiring managers reported what they "believe" about their company's hiring practices.

I suspect Epstein's list contains so many big and powerful figures from all over the world, it'll never fully be released.

The entire USA-Zionist-Thiel-Musk billionaire cult is on it and even some European royal families.

It’s only motivating more to advocate for exposing them.

Exposing the files is exposing the power structure. Only when we can clearly see the problem can we begin to work on a solution.

But it's clearly the thing they're most frightened of or they wouldn't be attacking their own citizens and threatening war the the last 2 weeks.

To people like him, not being worshiped means getting treated badly. Get out of here. How do people like this weak ass pathetic waste of flesh?!

[–] Insekticus@aussie.zone 1 points 1 month ago

Because they're loser simps who NEED someone to look up to and someone who'll tell them what to say and think because they never learned to be their own person.

[–] santa@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 month ago

This is laughable.

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Aww, poor white people. I guess it's back to oppressing the other races for another millenia, eh?! Fair enough.

[–] HisArmsOpen@crust.piefed.social 5 points 1 month ago

It was awful. God fearing Americans had to stop owning slaves, find ways to pick cotton, work the land, clean their homes. To make it worse, blacks, Asians and others got RIGHTS! Hells bells, actual rights. Those rights didn't take away the rights of other Americans, but still unfair and even now, white America has to compete with the former slaves to earn money to live. Shocking outrage!!!! (Sarcasm, just to be clear)

Can we not have an asteroid come out of nowhere and just flatten everything? It's a tad overwhelming just how shit these politicians and billionaires and warlords and thugs and selfish motherfuckers have made the world, and I wanna start again.

[–] WindyRebel@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Excuse me, Mr Covfefe, but why did the Civil Rights happen in the first place? And how long were the people they are for suffer prior to? Let’s compare the two.

[–] Greyghoster@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago

Does Trump include orange people in this as well?

[–] realitaetsverlust@piefed.zip -3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I mean, he's not lying. He just forgot to mention that every other ethnicity is treated very badly aswell in that hellhole he created. Unless they have money.

[–] forrgott@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Umm, that's, frankly, quite the shit take on the situation.

First, he's fucking lying. A loss of privilege simply does not compare at all to the brutality of systemic racism.

Second, with very rare exception, white people absolutely do not get mistreated to anywhere near the degree monitors do. So, every other ethnicity is treated far worse, and always have been.

Finally, no, money will never make anybody "one of the good ones". Not fucking ever.
