Market cap increase, meaning more people value Monero, or it is valued more

The higher the market cap, the more the coin is praised

Has Bitcoin gone up in a similar way? Is this a general Crypto rally or only XMR? Any good sources besides the mainstream "coingecko" site everyone uses to track prices?
