This looks exactly like hundredths of videos that were posted on r/acab all the time long before ICE. Those are the same people using the same tactics. Even de fat guy flashing light into the camera to prevent recording is exactly what police does all the time. The only difference is that this time no dog was killed. Fascism in US was brewing for a long time and unaccountable police force was an important ingredient. This is a lesson for everyone else: don't let your police get away with it, don't give them any privileges or you may end up like US. The scary part is that people did try to fight it. Protests after George Floyd murder were massive. Sadly they were derailed by the "abolish police" crowd (maybe on purpose?) and "rising crime" scare tactics. Right now I'm not sure what we can do in Europe other than stay vigilant.

Every time they do something like this without actual police arresting them and judges condemning them to prison, the US steps one clear bold step further into fascism.
Let's face it: it won't be the NRA-type militia people that'll stop it, likely not local PD... Their best bet (in the US) is to have part of their military completely split from the rest and from the regime.
The only way that happens is if there's a clearly articulated, constitution-focused leader that emerged, rallies the troops around their actual oath, and starts fighting.
Mark Kelly, Pete Buttigieg, other politicians with strong military credibility better start a proper resistance before they're removed by anticipation...
Edit: and the most infuriating thing? This whole thing is the insanely accurate depiction of what Putin's winning endgame is, has always been: a US so destabilized and stuck in infightining that Russia can re expand its borders unchallenged... Putput must be creaming it hard these days.
The US has been a fascist police state since the early 2000s. The difference is under trump they're going mask off and people are starting to notice.
An administrative "warrant" is not a real warrant. They are lying to us and everyone needs to learn the difference.
This administration is pretty much tossing every part of the Constitution aside. I can’t help but wonder what the founding fathers would think after just fighting a long war to get these rights written down...
You can’t protest what they’re doing. Only their supporters should have guns (remember when Trump said, 'Take their guns'?)
If you don’t let ICE crash at your place, you can’t do business, MAGA will dox it.
ICE can stop and hold you whenever they feel like it.
They can keep you locked up without charging you, so forget about due process.
They can deport you before you even get a chance to go to court, even if the court says not to.
ICE claims they can use military courts instead of regular juries, and they say they’re immune to all laws.
Citizens can be deported without a trial.
You are starting to lose the right to just be out and about without showing ID (if ICE even asks to see it). Soon you'll need a driver’s license just to walk to the store.
ICE, as a federal agency, has more power than the states, even though states should have rights over the federal government.
This is a tipping point in history.
The conservatives are literally doing everything that they claimed Obama or Biden wanted to do.
It's always projection. Always.
They just wanted to make sure that they were the one’s doing it. (Of course most of this madness would not have happened under Obama and Biden)
That is so that the morons who listen to them see Obama and Biden didn't do it so that when people point out Trump is actually doing it they doubt it is really happening.
They fall for anything.
Every accusation is a confession
The agents then showed what appears to be a DHS administrative warrant, or "ICE warrant" which does not have the same legal standing as a judicial warrant signed by a judge, and does not authorize entering a home for search and seizure under the 4th Amendment.
Remember, have them slip the warrant under the door before opening it even a crack. It MUST be signed by a judge to be legal. Anything else is bullshit, no matter what they say. They are liars, and they are allowed to lie, so assume that EVERYTHING they say is a lie.
Make them break down the door, and preserve your right to sue them and fund your retirement.
I love the sentiment, but I've got a logistical issue. Do y'all not have weather stripping? Aren't most doors pretty well sealed? You're not supposed to be able to slide a piece of paper under it.
Not my problem. Leave it on the front step, and my lawyer will get back to you within 72 hours.
But I’m sure they can find a judge who will sign the warrant.
Make them
Then do it.
At least that would be legal. Corrupt, but legal.
re: driver's license to walk to store - there are already enough examples in recent history in the US of pretty much exactly this situation happening.
example: the civil rights lawyer (YT), video "CVS employee arrested waiting on bench". guy got off work, sat on the bench outside the store waiting for his Lyft, wouldn't provide ID, got arrested.
I will say, at least in that specific case, the guy is likely to get a payout for his civil rights being violated.
You can’t really say the same about ICE violating your rights. And the chances of that are essentially -10% if you’re an undocumented immigrant.
yeah, in that case, the response to it has not been entirely unreasonable. my point is that it even happened in the first place. but yes, the system does seem to be somewhat working for that poor guy.
Ugh, I don't want to live in a tipping point in history.
Fuck everyone who wished to "live in interesting times" over "good times" because they can't entertain themselves and need the world to be entertaining for them. Lol
They got their wish.
I've been in too many tipping points. I'm exhausted.
They're probably receiving guidance from above that this is the way to go because the administration wants some of them to get shot to escalate things further.
Right, can you imagine that after signing up for a $50,000 bonus—money that can only be collected after five years of service—your boss tells you to break and enter into suburban houses with the full knowledge that the United States has the highest number of guns per capita, 120.5 guns for every 100 residents, and rights to protect themselves? All while the hope is that one of these goons gets shot for Trumps big martial law experiment.
I hadn't heard that they only collect the bonus after 5 years. Do you have a source?
You are right and I think its more nuanced than this. I originally heard it on a reddit post HERE, I think its more like
An immediate $10,000 signing bonus upon joining.
An additional $10,000 is paid if the application is completed before an early August deadline.
The remaining $30,000 is distributed as $10,000 annually over the subsequent three years.
So I was wrong according to reddit, sadly the specific details are not easy to find without getting in a quagmire of MSM news websites that only give thin overviews.
Yup. This is exactly it. All of it as a way to set up a situation to declare Martial Law and then shut down the mid-terms from happening.
If the Civil War didn't stop elections, martial law won't. The states will just hold elections anyway.
Maybe it won't stop elections. But it will influence voter turnout in a way that's unfavorable to blue states.
You're right, martial law won't stop elections, but will they use martial law as an excuse to stop elections? We'll see.
The only obvious solution is to make sure you get all of them trying to break in.
American Kristallnacht.
Notice how they flash their tasers when they get into the house and she keeps asking for the warrant? Intimidation tactic. Fucked up.
But what if those kids had whistles? /s (I can't believe I have to add /s, but I guess that's the ridiculous world we live in)
Then everyone nearby knows ICE is in the area, and takes whatever action they need to take before ICE gets a chance to get to them too.
You can't help being first on their list when they hit your area, but with some warning there's a non-zero chance you can help being the second.
And every whistle, effectively helpful or not, is the sound of a neighbor who cares enough to try to have your back.
Don't mock the whistles. They're not there to impress you.
