Just going to throw out a random book recommendation because I've enjoyed it so far: Katabasis, by RF Kuang. A graduate student in analytic magic and her rival descend into Hell to try to find their horrible thesis advisor to see about bringing him back from the dead.
Lemming For Lemming aka R4R on Lemmy
This is a place for adult (18+) Lemmy users (lemmings?) to find others with similar interests. Tell us a little about yourself and what kind of lemming(s) you are hoping to find. We also strive to connect people in real life, so if you are seeking a penpal or something similar, this probably is not the place for you.
Formatting your posts helps everybody find what they are looking for quickly, so it will be enforced. [] # -

The lets lemmings know your gender and that which you are looking for.
- Use either [M]ale or [F]emale based on the anatomy you possess. If you were born with different anatomy than you have currently, add a [T]rans before your current anatomy.

I've heard of Katabasis! RF Kuang is one of those authors I hear a lot about, but she seems to come with polarizing opinions. Katabasis is the one that appeals to me most out of all of her work so far. If you've read her other books, what did you think?
I have two opposing goals for 2026: Figure out something called Intune Autopilot, which is a horribly complicated Microsoft product that is replacing a system that worked just fine, thank you very much. Also, get my tech off of the big tech companies. De-Google, De-Windows, De-Amazon.
I'm not sure what the first part of this means lol, but the latter half is definitely admirable! I can see how you'd de-windows and de-amazon your tech, but I can't imagine not using google. Do you have a replacement in mind for it?
