MODERATORS

I recently made a post in this community about how ADHD has caused me to lose a lot of relationships over the years through forgetting to stay in touch, and a lot of you guys resonated with the post (145 upvotes!)

I also mentioned how I used an app to help me resolve this issue and whilst it wasn't perfect it definitely helped me keep some close relationships. Well funnily enough, the founder of the app reached out to me and said that he was happy seeing his app was a solution to my problem and wanted me to let people know he has made it free for people to try now to help solve the problem even more.

For anyone who upvoted or just seen the post and related the app is called Kinly Connect and I would recommend

7-day free trial is a bit short for that kind of app tho. Maybe a month.

I see where you're coming from but I found enough value in the first 7 days to convince me to stay on

Thank you for your recommendation, I'll try it. I'm sad how expensive the full version is, I don't need cloud sync and it is not that complex of an app to warrant spending €75, or worse, €36/year.

Yeah in my eyes it's worth the €3 a month but can see why you'd think that

there's also one called monica. it's similar to a CRM, but for personal relationships. helps you keep track of when you last spoke to someone, what you spoke about etc. It's available at http://monicahq.com/

Was excited to explore this, but project looks stale?

[–] allriledup@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 3 days ago

Oh. That’s sad. I haven’t looked at it in a while :(

Does CRM mean content rights management in this case or something else?

[–] allriledup@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 points 3 days ago

nah, Customer Relationship Manager :)

Here is a link. https://www.kinlyconnect.com/

I sort of want to try this, but wondering if you can set it to just one or two people, and not that often. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Does it have a mode for connecting to people you've already lost touch with?

[–] Pin@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yeah you can set it to however many people you want. I only have it as a few close relationships personally, and yeah you can set it up for people you haven't contacted in a long time. I'd recommend trying it whilst the developer has made it free to try

It looks like it shares your data with 3rd parties...

[–] Pin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not sure why you think that? Developer said he keeps everything private and would never sell data on

That's so they can transfer user data between IOS and google play users. The developer cleared that up a while ago

Than you for sharing! I struggle with this too and that app looks really helpful

[–] Pin@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Of course! Hope it helps you like it did me
