"Each act, each occasion, is worse than the last, but only a little worse. You wait for the next and the next. You wait for one great shocking occasion, thinking that others, when such a shock comes, will join with you in resisting somehow." - German Professor on the Nazi dictatorship (Milton Meyer, They Thought They Were Free)

"Hitting land"? I believe that's what's called "bombing".

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has expressed opposition to this move.

No shit. People tend not to like you bombing and invading their countries. Not that the USA has ever cared.

I always remember that Elon Musk, when he was close to Trump, threatened the UK with invasion.

As far as I'm aware, the Trump regime never disavowed those statements.

Didn't the regime also threathen Panama?

“Drug Cartels”

[–] Zier@fedia.io 29 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So as I suspected, trump was actually involved in sex trafficking of minors, and as another distraction, he will attack Mexico. The full Epstein files must be released. Impeach, remove, convict!

The redactions are not intended to protect the victims. Every redaction protects him.

Fuck this piece of shit “administration” and every cunt that voted for it

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 24 points 1 month ago (2 children)

The US now revisiting classic lost wars. Maybe the cartels will burn down the White House this time.

[–] mPony@kbin.earth 14 points 1 month ago

I mean it's already 1/4 demolished as it is

[–] Sturgist@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I mean, Canada's closer...and we kinda have a habit of doing that already...

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Britain did that too - we should team up for a threequel!

[–] Sturgist@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 month ago

It's a date!

When the cartels win, can we give back Texas?

[–] pHr34kY@lemmy.world 21 points 1 month ago

Will Canada's Conservatives celebrate this one too? Will they celebrate when he attacks Canada? I bet the answers are yes and yes.

[–] whoisearth@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I fully expect, when Trump invades Canada, to see PP tweet "yes Daddy" while Carney will tweet "this is unfortunate and we continue to work with our allies on better solutions"

Both sides are fucked but only one of them is full on retard. As a sane voter it's frustrating.

First Austria then Checkoslovakia, Lithuania, and finally Poland.

[–] ramble81@lemmy.zip 16 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Do you want a price on your head? Because that’s how you get someone to start picking off politicians.

[–] Marshezezz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 1 month ago

Fingers crossed

Absolutely not, this camel can take a lot more of these.

[–] rayyy@piefed.social 10 points 1 month ago

Those Epstein files must really burn!

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

When the CIA ran cartels have too much competition

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Mexican president should tell their citizens they have immunity from murdering u.s invaders . Let's see how this plays out.

[–] thelivefive@startrek.website 5 points 1 month ago

So we are going to be fighting the CIA or what?

[–] weaponG@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Isn't that why they wanted the wall built in the first place. Ironic.
