Left handed rulers are also a thing, and surprisingly helpful even if you're right handed. The scale runs from the right to the left, so if you hold it with your left hand the zero is on the stick out to the right.

A lefty that doesn't know how to clench the blades is no lefty I want to associate with.
Once bought a left handed scissor, did not know up until then there was such a thing, as a right handed how the fuck do you cut stuff, it was the crappiest cut ever
The same way I use a computer mouse, suboptimally with my off hand, but it was the only option when I was learning as a child and now I'm stuck because it works well enough. I think most lefties have decent capability with their right hand because it's occasionally unavoidable to use it for something.
I started using my left hand for the mouse due to carpel tunnel syndrome. Never bothered with changing the settings to left handed so I guess I'm using it sub-optimally.
Because of my less than optimal grip I prefer mice that are for either hand. They are not always easy to find.

That is how us lefties feel using right-handed scissors.
Left handed scissors sounds like one of those fake tools, like a long weight or blinker fluid.
