On Friday morning, cellphone footage originating from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent Jonathan Ross showing the murder of Minneapolis mother and wife Renee Nicole Good was leaked to right-wing media. The new footage conclusively demonstrates that Ross deliberately positioned himself in front of Good’s vehicle to justify murdering her.

The very first video confirmed it.

You aren't gonna convince these boot licking fascist cunts with any evidence. That's not the point.

They want to kill

They want to kill racial minorities

They want to kill gender and sexual minorities

They want to kill women

And they want to kill anyone outside of their cult.

Every single MAGA fuckwitt is hostile or want someone to be hostile on their behalf.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 1 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

They want to kill everyone inside their cult, too. There's a reason Bannon was jailed for defrauding trump supporters and then pardoned by trump. They all got vaccinated but cynically support antivax policies. They give zero shits about anyone but the wealthy.

Its more about the spectacle, feelings and for the people at the top, money. The money, ironically is the easiest part to address but it would require elected government willing to take on money and break up all the big media and tech companies.

Everyone else is saying it. If you watched the first video, you know it's murder. It's not a matter of if it's murder or not; it's about holding fascists accountable for their actions. Thank you for posting this. It sucks but we need to keep up. We're all in this together.

so did the old videos

[–] DeICEAmerica@lemmy.world 7 points 15 hours ago

The STATE needs to bring charges. Trump cannot pardon those. Let's be honest, the dirty pig could have been sitting inside a donut shop, accidentally discharged his weapon and it hit her across the street in her car, and they would be framing it as self defense. I don't even talk to or care what a Trump supporter thinks of all this. They are free to suit up in ICE garb. They have already picked their side the just mostly lack the balls to do anything about it. Not that these ICE agents have big stones. $$ is a great motivator. I hope it affords a bunch of fancy prison cells at the very best.

Trump (a convicted felon) has shown time and again the only law that matters is whatever he wants.
A para-military group is committing murder, as well as other illegal actions, funded by his decree.

All muricans saying violent protest will only make matters worse, we'll beat them at the next election, we shouldn't do illegal stuff are either trolls or just in denial. There won't be an election, you're delaying the inevitable.

And other like-minded governments elsewhere are taking notes.

If ICE agent Jonathan Ross was really struck by a 4,000 lbs vehicle his ass would be on the ground. That dude kept his balance, grabbed his gun before the car started to move, and murdered that woman on video.

This is how they treat white US citizens when they know they're being filmed. Imagine how they treat immigrants and people of color in their terror camps.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 15 points 22 hours ago

And was videoing with his phone on his other hand.

Sanewashing: the old videos clearly showed the murder was in cold blood. I strongly oppose this capitulation to the right's framing that there was any ambiguity to begin with.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

This clip shows that he walks in front of the car, and then approaches as she's already in motion, before killing her. And it shows the dog. It is insanely damning. And then you can compare it to other angles that show him a good two feet away with his first shot.

[–] Omegamanthethird@lemmy.world 41 points 1 day ago

People are suddenly acting like the old videos don't even exist. I had to watch them because people refuse to be honest and you have to see shit for yourself.

I'm now pissed that I was made to watch those videos and pissed that they're gaslighting that they suddenly don't exist and/or matter.

[–] Klox@lemmy.world 77 points 1 day ago (2 children)

100%. Same for Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez in Chicago. The guy tried driving away from an illegal stop and they executed him.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 9 points 19 hours ago

Somewhat unrelated, but

That whole thing (person getting stopped and in his case EXECUTED for simply being of the "wrong" race) reminds me of this episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. While it was nothing new to the black community in the US (or anyone with their eyes open I guess), I think for a lot of people sheltered from these issues it would've been eye opening. Personally I grew up in a very white country, in a small town, so by my teenage years I'd probably SEEN a few black people in real life, but never talked to one. Discovered Fresh Prince when I was about 13 or 14 so it might actually have been one of the first pieces of media I'd seen that actually kinda showed the systemic racism issue to me. Later of course I saw all kinds of news articles and discussion online.

One would think that in the span of 35 years (that's how long ago this episode aired, it was Oct 1990), things get better, society gets more educated and tolerant... But it's worse now. Way worse. I'm gonna have to blame Murdoch media and the complete disembowelment of the American education system for this one.

[–] Blumpkinhead@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

Damn, I hadn't even heard about this one. I just looked it up. It's insane.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 134 points 1 day ago (7 children)

I'm starting to think their weird mishandling of evidence and making these blatant lies about what happened are purposely being made to create rage and incite riots. Why else would they release his video? It's obvious from the first few videos that he was a murderer, other than to piss off the people, why would you lie AND release more evidence against him?

[–] notwhoyouthink@lemmy.zip 8 points 20 hours ago

Agreed 100%, same with the invasion of Venezuela, releasing ~1% of the Epstein files, and beefing up threats to invade Greenland amongst myriad known and unknown horrors and violations.

They want us mad enough to give them reason to cancel the midterms via a declaration of martial law that will last until those of us that oppose them either step in line or die by their hands. Obviously this will run far past when those of us left standing recall, ‘Today would have been Election Day.’ … ‘Wasn’t he only supposed to be president for four years?’ And that’s to assume we have the luxury to track what day and year it is since we’ll be too busy fighting and dying for it to matter much.

I would really like to believe that I’m going overboard in my conceptualization of our future, but I can’t afford to anymore.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 1 points 14 hours ago

I think they think it doesn't matter. In a few days we'll be onto the next tragedy, and they'll be able to just point at nothing in particular and say there's proof she was a terrorist.

[–] Quexotic 9 points 1 day ago (5 children)

So one thing that I learned from Timothy Snyder is that one of the critical things that leads to political violence is humiliation. This is something that the trump regime is really doubling down on, especially lately, through multiple different channels. They've already made clear, explicitly, that they want to cancel the midterm elections. Inciting violence is the means to that end. They're celebrating her death and flaunting power, ratcheting up violence and amplifying instances of violent outcomes in media. They've even fixed their own agent in hopes that someone will try something stupid.

In this sense, Good's shooting or something like that was inevitable, they're seizing this opportunity for all it's worth. They were expecting this and were ready to act. They engineered the situation.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 9 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

They've been pissed about vehicle blocking at ICE raids, the Puppy Killer talked about it on detail in her rationalization speech.

If we could properly investigate this, we would find out that the agents were told to watch for vehicle blocking, and make an example, and send a message. That's why they obviously deliberately escalated the situation, and unhesitatingly shot her. They were under orders.

So who sent those orders? Puppy Killer? PeeWee Himmler? Trump himself?

[–] Quexotic 2 points 18 hours ago

Thanks for the additional context, and yeah, it seems clear that the murder was actively working to orchestrate such a situation.

From what little I have seen, right wing outlets were interpreting the video as proof the officer was hit by the car because of the way the phone gets jostled at the end. You also can't see in this video exactly when he draws his gun, or how the shooter is positioned. It's damning when combined with the other videos, but on its own it's a lot less clear.

And they also see it as proof that these were "agitators" obstructing "law enforcement" based on the confrontational tone with the woman outside the vehicle. They want to frame the issue as law enforcement vs criminals, rioters and radical domestic terrorists. They want to blame the victim and undercut the narrative that this was an innocent bystander.

Obviously a sane person would recognize that it doesn't matter if the victim was politically active or even obstructing police, it's still murder. But these aren't moral, rational people and they aren't trying to persuade an audience with legal arguments, just feeding the US vs them mentality.
