Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

I don't know why but I can't upload any images on 2 of my 3 accounts. It says "Network Error" and "Value java.net.SocketTimeoutException..." (can't see the rest of the error message) when I try to upload an image on this account and my Beehaw account.

Is it just due to these two instances getting overwhelmed with the recent influx or something else unrelated to Jerboa, or is this app-related. I can't recall if these errors happen when I use Lemmy on a computer.

Depends on the instances.

I, however, have simply limited the upload size to 100kB.

Most instances have added a file size limit now. I don't know how high or low it is, but it should be enough to upload an avatar, and that's about it.

No instance can cope with the growth and the media being uploaded. It's probably in the ballpark of 1GB a day. VPS space is not cheap, neither are 4, 6TB SSDs if you selfhost. So, changes had to be made ๐Ÿคท.
