No chain of evidence on that video. If thwy waited foe police and handed over thw phone. We could believe it as with less scrutiny. However syncing it up with the other 50 angles doesnt line up.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 102 points 2 days ago (2 children)

This video shows that there is no doubt that this was a straight up murder. The officer had his phone in his hand when he murdered her and we can see from his OWN perspective that he was in no danger whatsoever.

[–] areakode@riskeratspizza.com 53 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Jesus. I had assumed that video was from a body cam. Instead, it's taken from his left hand!

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 43 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Yep. You can actually see that he is holding his phone in one hand in the original angles. He didn't even drop it when he shot her.

[–] sik0fewl@piefed.ca 19 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Incredible composure. While fearing for his life he was able to get out of the way of the slowly turning vehicle, get four shots off and record the whole thing on his cell phone.

[–] Jumbie@lemmy.zip 34 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Wait till the boomers get off work in an hour or so and they’ll come by to tell you why you’re wrong. Don’t trust your stupid eyes!

[–] then_three_more@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The Party told you to ignore the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

If it was a grok video there would be naked kids in it.

[–] TommySoda@lemmy.world 93 points 2 days ago (11 children)

People on the right are saying that when he puts his phone down to pull out his gun that that's when he gets hit by the car. It's like they've forgotten every other video out there and assume this is bodycam footage so the camera moving automatically means he's getting hit. A lot of people are saying that the audio was tampered with too so I wouldn't be surprised if they added some sound effects to make it seem like he got hit full force.

The lack of critical thinking is honestly insane.

[–] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 day ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (1 children)

Its not lack of critical thinking.

It is motivated reasoning.

They're using their brains, they're using them to justify atrocities, by unmaking the atrocity into something else.

They're thinking critically, but without the concept of arriving at a conclusion that seems to make sense, they are instead doing it backwards; scrambling for narratives and lines of reasoning that avoid the obvious conclusion and obvious evidence.

... this is evil.

I literally cannot think of a better definition of evil then starting from knowing you are wrong and then doing everything you can to gaslight yourself and others into not thinking you are wrong.

The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police or whatever they fuck their little piggy club is called, who issued a statement explicitly denying reality and reframing this as a PR problem for people who don't support the unwarranted first degree murder of civillians?

Literally evil.

These people are not redeemable, they are fundamentally broken, violent, dangerous sociopaths.

Police unions should not exist....you CANNOT enjoy the benefits of union membership whilst actively engaging in union busting.

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 64 points 2 days ago (5 children)

They really are rejecting reality. We have other footage showing him barely getting brushed by it at a relatively low speed. He fires 2 more shots through the driver's side window and then calls her a bitch. It's damning and a jury will decide his fate.

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 56 points 2 days ago (2 children)

The challenge right now is getting him in front of a jury.

[–] HeadfullofSoup@kbin.earth 25 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Maybe someone will bring justice to him

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Note that the moderator, whoever that is, did a Reddit. They couldn't handle a picture of Mario's brother. Fascist.

[–] HeadfullofSoup@kbin.earth 6 points 1 day ago

I’ve seen, well the mod can suck it

Fuck Ice Fuck fascist and fuck the online coward that enable them i hope the Disciple of Luigi get them all

It'll never happen. Not until MAGA is gone.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It doesn't need to, Minnesota submits warrants to ice, dhs, doj and the last three known addresses for the shooter and they've satisfied the in absentia exception and they can then complete a trial without him. If convicted he'll risk arrest and imprisonment and they can't leave the country, most other countries won't accept anyone with an active felony case let alone conviction and they'd probably enjoy the extradition.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago (14 children)

The Vice President of the United States of America has literally said the ICE chud is owed a "debt of gratitude". That's after it was clear that he murdered someone.

And you think he won't be specifically protected as a signal to all other ICE chuds? The guy is set for life. They have to make sure he is. Otherwise it's going to be a lot harder to convince them to kill people when they're specifically asked to.

You think he'll be taken into custody? Lol!!!

The guy has the blessing of the White House, he's a hero.

And it's exactly that, that demonstrates we have finally crossed the Rubicon. Decent people with functioning brains can see this whole thing was unjustified, and that this is murder.

Yet social media is FULL of bootlickers blaming the victim. Most of them are bots and trolls.

But not all of them. And every one of those people? They're prospective ICE agents. In America or wherever American rules will be enforced going forward. Those are the only people they are creating a narrative for now.

Bottom line? These are not people who are even trying to win elections anymore......they are openly lying while challenging the status quo on every law, political precedent, etc they can manage. This is a significant change (they've lied plenty, but never this nakedly).

That change? They finally reached the point where they are confident they can do whatever they want now, and fully have the reins of power permanently.

Why are they rushing to hire ICE agents and throwing everything they can at enticing people to join up? While so obviously pandering to the exact people who would want to sign up?

I've been saying it for fucking months and months..... but we're getting close now. Just have to keep firing the top brass in the military (install puppets/ remove threat of coup), encouraging hazing and abuse in the military along with kicking out queer people (pander to right wing homophobes while skewing the military right wing by making the military hostile to "liberals"), spreading our military forces far and wide (Venezuela, go! Iran, go! Tomorrow Greenland, go!) and thin.....

Guess we'll see

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (4 children)

It’s damning and a jury will decide his fate.

You get a very very sad "LMAO" from me.

He'll never face a jury. The FBI cut local authorities out of the investigation and they're going to clear him especially since JD Fuckworth and Trump are fabricating the reality that ice has "absolute immunity."

:(

These are the same people that say Jan 6 was peaceful despite hundreds of hours of video, thousands of photos, and witness testimony proving otherwise.

It's not a critical thinking issue (at least not this time). It's being willing to lie, cheat, and steal to get their way, no matter what.

[–] SpaceCowboy@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

Also there's a willingness of many to go along with a lie.

It's a big power move to say an obvious lie and have others have to say they believe the obvious lie.

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

Video and audio of the three shots from the other video is not in this cam video so yeah, it's been tampered with.

Considering this video was so quickly released, it's probably been whitewashed.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 8 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Since the only possible source for this video is the phone that we can literally see in the shooters hand in other videos it seems weird that he would alter his own video to make him look more guilty, doesn't it?

These guys really don't like having to think, do they?

It's like a new thing shows up every day. I wonder what will happen this Saturday?

  • January 3rd: Maduro taken from Venezuela.
  • January 4th: Greenland Premier states that Greenland is (edit: autonomous country) of Denmark.
  • January 5th: Venezuela gets their interim president.
  • January 6th: Venezuela confirms a number of wounded during the 1/3 attack.
  • January 7th: The MN shooting.
  • January 8th: Two people are shot by DHS agents in Portland. Also, Iran protests get much more intense.
  • January 9th: New video and discovery of "fucking bitch".
[–] Akasazh@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Maybe the unrelated Epstein files?

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

January 4th: Greenland Premier states that Greenland is part of Denmark.

Yes and no: it's an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark, which is what their PM reiterated.

Kinda like Scotland within the UK, except autonomous.

[–] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I don't know that 'country' is exactly the right word, but yeah, it is a self governing and autonomous territory, that basically just exists within the legal framework / domain of Denmark.

Internally, it controls itself with its own government, but as far as foreign affairs and the military goes, its a territory of Denmark.

The majority of its population are Greenlandic Inuit, who've been there for thousands of years, Greenlandic is one of its official languages, along with English and Danish.

Prior to all this nonsense, there had been increasing support from both Greenlanders and the Danish government to it being its own fully independent country.

Notice how he pauses to look at the political stickers on the back of the van.

That guy was aching for a pretext to shoot her. Once he thought he had it he went for it and shot multiple times when the vehicle couldn't even hit him anymore.

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago

Yep this is his empowered version of "owning the libs" with hatred and malice.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 10 points 2 days ago

Exactly right.

[–] frog_brawler@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Those aren't political stickers, they're mostly stickers for parks, and there was one for the Kansas City soccer team.

The only reason this is being released is that they think it makes him look innocent.

[–] Hideakikarate@sh.itjust.works 22 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (5 children)

Probably would've helped him a liiiitle more if they cut it before "fucking bitch" came from his shit covered cock holster.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 12 points 2 days ago

They probably should have cut it before her murdered a woman because he didn't like her bumper stickers.
