Iraq war veteran

He has a history of terroristic activities, you say?

[–] pageflight@lemmy.world 39 points 2 days ago (1 children)

And PTSD that would make him especially unsafe in escalated situations?

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 8 points 2 days ago

Pretty much a job requirement. Escalation is the point (I wonder when they will speak that quiet part out loud).

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 94 points 2 days ago (2 children)

So it might not even be the first innocent person he murdered for work?

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 27 points 2 days ago

He's a cop... If he didn't do it he helped

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 7 points 2 days ago

No, murder is his career.

Freikorps were irregular German and other European paramilitary volunteer units that existed from the 18th to the early 20th centuries. They effectively served as mercenaries or private military companies, regardless of their own nationality.

In the aftermath of World War I and during the German Revolution of 1918–19, Freikorps, consisting partially of World War I veterans, were raised as paramilitary militias. They were ostensibly mustered to fight on behalf of the government against the German communists attempting to overthrow the Weimar Republic. However, many Freikorps also largely despised the Republic and were involved in assassinations of its supporters, later aiding the Nazis in their rise to power.

Make of this what you will

It's interesting to see in the comments here and elsewhere people that haven't figured out how capitalist white supremacy patriarchy and a foreign wife are a natural fit. They think it's a sign of hypocrisy. Sweet, sweet summer children 😇

For those that don't know, Filipina wives have a reputation for being submissive to their husbands and are sought out by certain kinds of American men for that reason. For example, radio personality Art Bell had a Filipina wife and when she died, he met a new Filipina woman 39 years younger than him a few weeks later and was married to her before the end of the year.

I know a guy with family like this. His dad was like 80s and his filipina wife was 40s. The father had sons that were older than his wife. So confusing.

Bet he treats her as his property

[–] 4grams@awful.systems 2 points 1 day ago

You know, I haven’t really thought about it much, but now that you mention it, explains a whole hell of a lot that I’ve observed. I live in a fairly well off suburb that just lousy with chuds; let’s just say, I’ve observed this pattern a-plenty.

The good news is, at least from what I’ve seen, their children are growing up better than them. I can’t help but wonder how the impact of having that mindset while raising biracial children plays out in the long term. Guessing a lot more kids take the path so many of this generation has and cuts off their awful parents.

I wonder how many people he did that to in Iraq ?

[–] AnchoriteMagus@lemmy.world 19 points 2 days ago

Depending on when he was in country and what exactly his job was, he could have been doing that to drivers on a daily basis.

[–] skisnow@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago

The overwhelming majority of deaths in Iraq were civilians, over 100,000. It’s not a particularly big stretch of the imagination.

Ok, now...

... where is the actual Punisher, when you need him?

You know, the vigilante anti-hero who murders corrupt power tripping cops?

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 33 points 2 days ago (8 children)

True justice only exists in fiction.

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Even in that fiction, they make it pretty clear he is a criminal. He understands he is stepping outside the law and subject to the same justice as those he attacks.

Even if certain police seem to miss the entire point

He also murdered a woman in public with impunity

[–] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 18 points 2 days ago

May the public reciprocate his actions in kind.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago

I guarantee he's just in denial that she cheats on him
