Hosting them here is fine. We cache images in an object storage bucket. The problems with images not uploading sometimes is a lemmy/pictrs issue, which we work around with an automated restart of the service.

Oh ok then. Ty Ada! :D
If Ada says so, then uploading here is good enough on its own, but for the times that images stop uploading, I've had a reasonably good experience uploading to imgur.
You just need to link it properly afterwards, so it embeds. That was just adding a normal link, and putting an exclamation mark (!) right before the link, like this

Yeah that's what I used on some other forums website but I was asking because I saw people using other sites like catbox or something like that so maybe there was a reason for that.
So I'll just host them here if Ada says it's fine but good to know Imgur works too just in case! :D
Oh and thanks for telling me how to add images like that, I didn't know about the exclamation mark thing
catbox and co are mainly useful for videos, as some instances (not sure about this one) have video uploading disabled (as that's usually a lot more costly than image uploads)
ohhh alright thank you for the info! I don't know if the instance let's you post videos but at least my client doesn't show any option for that
Late but i use https://send.vis.ee which is a fork of discontinued firefox send
"late" is made up by Big Time to make u think time is real and that u shouldn't take several "weeks" or "months" to complete assignments :3
