I believe this.
I don't see how willpower brings down rent, but I agree on the first 80%.
Move further away from the city center and use good public transportation to get to the places you need to be. There’s a point at which it no longer works, but super fast, regular trains can do a lot.
you just gotta lock in... focus real hard and commit yourself to paying less rent...

Good transportation does, though.
High wage and quality of living fixes 80% of a city's problems. Good transportation is the other 20%
No wage is high enough if everybody competes for the same few homes.
And you can only increase the number of homes with good transportation.
The last 20% of my problems take up 80% of my time. At least I can think about it while riding on a train.
The other 20% are public transport riders having basic hygiene and not acting like Neanderthals 😔
If the weather allows it i always prefer my ebike, even if it takes me more time to arrive
if you have problem with other riders' hygiene, wear a mask and put some mint in it. then it's their problem, not yours.
