It looks like a high quality print with multiple filaments. I wouldn't be surprised if that's a 24 hour print job. $50 doesn't seem too far off.
If it wasn't something so silly and useless, it wouldn't feel like a rip off.

Maybe a 24 hr print on an ender 3 if printed in multiple pieces. The multicolors are mostly leveled so minimal filament swapping or could be separate pieces glued together. This thing is the size of 1.5 soda cans worst case it's a 10 hour print with 8$ in filament. I would charge 50$ if someone wanted me to make this custom for them but not if I'm selling on marketplace.
It does seem like he's trying to make his money back on a commission or something. If you had to design and tweak this that's not a crazy price, but if he charged someone that and then thinks he can just make a bunch more for a similar price that's definitely too high.
For what it's 'worth' though, would be shocking for someone to pay that for a novelty piece with reasonably high quality for a 3d print.
Pretty cool print, though.
