In fact I get a lot of my rocks from rooftops. Not all by any means but a lot. It's about 20mm wide or 7/8".
Looks kinda like a powdered muffin.

nice find, especially for gravel! decorative gravel can have a lot of cool stuff hidden in it. I've definitely gone "hounding" around the parking lots of local government buildings...
