You can mount and write to CDs like as easy as if it were a USB stick. The hardest part now is getting a CD drive.

Burned a CD for my mother just this christmas.

I don't know why we called it burning. Fire was not involved. We could have just called it "copying."
You know how you can use a magnifying glass to burn stuff with sunlight?
It was basically that but with lasers.
