@noumenon “let’s have an app for our helmet” said no motorcyclist ever… Rider driven innovation? Unlikely…

The last thing i need is an app for my helmet that tracks my location and other data to sell off lol. You could easily add a filter to a helmet without that.

P.S. account posting this is a day old, most likely a bot.

Def not a bot. Just sharing things I come across (in this case a gadget).

Why? 43 posts in a day seems excessive, what about this caught your eye? What kind of helmet you have now?

Yeah, I'll have to wait and see how it is doing a couple years down the road. I certainly don't need an app for my helmet, and is the neck air-tight? Seems like the filter wouldn't do much. But, hey, you know I could be wrong and this will solve some people's problems with their helmet.

I actually like the idea of a helmet that filters the air. Its something I didn't really consider a helmet ever offering but something that I'd like to see in the future. Would also be interesting to see how this impacts wind noise.

Some concerns:

  1. How easy is it to replace the filters
  2. I don't want to ever connect to an app to use the features of something I buy
  3. I didn't see a safety certification

Seems to claim ECE22.06

This is pretty cool. I usually lead in front of my wife on dirt roads just because she likes me to pick the route and warn her of oncoming traffic. We always have a chuckle when she pulls off her helmet because her face is covered in dust but we know it's not good for her to be breathing that shit in.

The eye port doesn't look big enough for goggles so I'm not sure how well it would work for dual sport use but it seems like a neat idea.

For off-roading there was "wolf filters" or something like that, it was a face mask made to go under enduro helmets and keep all the shit out if your lungs
