“We’re going to need the help of robots and other forms of, uhhh, I guess you could say employment,” he said, shrugging. “We’re going to be employing a lot of artificial things.”

This implies that sometimes he rants coherently which is not true.

Finally a headline that correctly describes the situation.

I am once again begging people not to post a headline that starts with “Trump, 79,” that doesn’t end with. Well. You know.

To think Trump 1.0 was an improvement over this shit show.

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump 1.0 he was actually there still, easily manipulated but still there. Now he's just a puppet with dementia.

Nah, 1.0 was only better because he spent the whole time figuring out wtf to do. He didn't even know he had to hire his own cabinet. 2.0 is the result of those four years of realizing the power and protection of the position, and another four of teams of knowledgeable people working hard to make sure this term would be the last they'd ever need.

beginning of this headline got my hopes up that he finally croaked. fuckers.

Trump is nothing more than an incoherent buffoon. How long can he be propped up and worshipped like this? To the majority of Europeans, doing business with the US is considered far too untrustworthy. Our elected officials know this because we make it clear. Sadly, we too have buffoons arising and gaining power here. If they to get in, we are all fucked.

Nobody in the AI industry, tech, or government cares. He says all the buzzwords and gives them all what they want. What he says is basically irrelevant at this point. Until something actually happens we're all gonna read about some sort of "gotcha" moment every day as if it makes a difference so we can have our rage moments and move on after we get our dopamine hit by calling him a moron.

Not talking shit on anyone here, I'm just tired. And I'm tired of seeing a similar headline day after day as if it changes anything.

its a reaction to "look over here, instead of the epstein files" reaction. at some point even thier supporters will get tired of him repeating the same again and again,.

You know the reason they are using terms like "employment"... Next step: We've now managed to include AIs and automated robots in jobs numbers! Now we can report 700% employment, while everyone starves away hoping for a chance at a job.

Then let the AI vote too.
