Honestly what I've been looking for is a USB-PD power supply, with included data-passthrough. But everything is either a USB-PD Trigger board, that just lets you use a USB-PD power supply. Nothing seems to include the data portion.

3D printers right now are using CANBUS and honestly, that shit's kinda stupid. If I knew how to build a USB-PD PSU with data passthrough, that could enumerate and provide all of its specs to the host linux system via dbus, you'd get to the point where you could just plug in any drop-in print head, and plug a USB-C PD cable into it and go.
