I think the point is that politican ideologies are used to divide and enrage the lower classes, so that whichever oppressor is currently in power can stay in power. It doesn't matter if you are a communist, capitalist, socialist, anarchist, zionist, islamist, atheist, or avaritionist, there's somebody above you telling you to hate people around you. They want to distract you from their abuses within by inventing threats from without.
It's great how in the same comment section, you'll have someone telling you that you are a CIA shill, someone telling you that you're a dumb conservative, 15 people calling you a liberal, two people going on at length about how you deserve to die because you ~~were born in the "wrong" country~~ "have inherently evil ideals", half a dozen using any way they can to make your country's name something negative, and once in a blue moon you'll have someone telling you that your enemy isn't the person on the other side of the screen, it's the rich.
That last guy gets called both a fascist CIA shill* and* a dumb tankie.
