I wrote a bit about this myself. Give it a go if you've got 3 mins to spare.

Bits of that felt forced, and you've got some pretty big internal contradictions in there.

But you've got some bangers too. ": ideals do not fail only through betrayal or violence, but through neglect of the material world they must survive in." Is an exact quote I will be stealing the fuck out of.

And don't worry about having more feels about found art; analyzing deliberate art is bourgeoise simulacra-recursion-fetishism, only found images and field recordings made without conscious¹ intent are truly materialist and illustrative.

¹consciousness being essentially bourgeoise (watts, 2006)

And yet I remain unquoted in the taglines 😞

Yeah I wrote this on my phone in a hospital wait room after 6 days of no sleep at 3am. Barely proofread it.

I knew I was just vomiting words at a point. But just wanted to get the idea out of my head.

It's great to read a bit of "art theory" stuff on here. Thanks for writing and sharing this :)

Thanks! I wanna do this more. But for some reason only images with no intended artistic idea are the ones that move me to write.

Couldn't do it about an actual artist.

To he fair, that's not uncommon in art theory stuff. A massive chunk of it is writing about life/society/politics/stuff and the things around at the time - which then influenced the thinking or movement which then inspired the art.

I suppose it's more about the things that (some of) the artists are interested in, more than any actual description of the art itself.

Anyway, it's great to see, so thank you again :)
