The artist has published works such as “Everything in Three Lines,” “Lucrecia’s Notebook,” and was in charge of the selection and translation of “Tales from the Orient,” “Humorous Poems from Japan,” and “Haiku: This Other World” by writer Richard Wright, for which he also wrote the prologue.

With a solid career spanning more than four decades, he continues to be a prominent figure in the Cuban art scene, dedicating himself to teaching and promoting visual art, while also pursuing his passion for Japanese culture and literature, the CDAV highlights in its publication.

He has also participated in national and international solo and group exhibitions, served as dean of the Faculty of Visual Arts at the University of the Arts, and given workshops and lectures in Colombia, Bolivia, Sweden, among other countries.

His latest solo exhibition, “All attention is needed…”, will open next Wednesday at the CDAV and will remain open to the public until January 24, 2026.

The event will take place at the corner of San Ignacio and Teniente Rey streets, in the city’s historic center, at 5:00 p.m. local time.
