In my experience, people use reddit's reporting tools to harass people they don't like with "reddit cares" messaging. It's a tool of abuse used by pathetic losers.

Every single reply I posted that even so much as leaned liberal I got a “Reddit cares” DM like “are you in crisis?”
It was like a joke for chuds “aw, does baby wanna KYS because big bwad Dwonald Twump won de election?? Awww!”

Anti-suicidal notifications are one of the least messed up things in the Reddit administration system for now, since dealing with literal AI banning you for nothing is much worse.
Really, allowing mods to permaban people in large major subs is worse than any of it. It gives those mods way too much power, and they mostly use it to ban opinions they don't like.
What opinion were you banned for, Anakin?

Here's a list of 30 hotlines that will call the cops on you if you tell them you're actually that close to the edge, and will hang up on you if you don't. I bet you feel so cared for now, no need to thank me ☺️
Calling the cops sounds like reliable way of getting over that edge.

At worst, she has some milqtoast comics, and overreacted to parodies/edits.
Reddit should remove all mental health subreddits. Reddit doesn't have any or no great protection to shield them from assholes. Anyone and it probably has happened, can jump onto any post of someone who's suicidal and deliberately push and push them over that edge.
And they should know that the people posting to and moderating those subreddits, are also at the expense of Spez being a billionaire.
The Reddit Cares bullshit was itself being used to harass people before I left the site entirely.

I never understood the hate for her, to be honest. Are the comics sometimes unfunny? Absolutely. Is she a bit cringe? Definitely. But it seems so many people have a visceral reaction to her comics like they were personally offended. This one even makes a good point. If this was a plain text screenshot of a tweet you'd have read it, nodded, and moved on with your life.
Her comics suck ass and feel pretty low effort most of the time. As a leftist, I find her liberal politics nauseating and self-congratulatory. She’s just a douchebag.

Imagine downvoting a comic from a very annoying artist that many people have gone to lengths to avoid.
Pizzacake is the only person I've blocked on Reddit because I was sick of all the drama that arose whenever she posted anything. Now her content is following me here to the Fediverse, and the drama too - when I explained my dislike over on this comic communty I got accused of being the one who was "stalking". It's like there's something in the water whenever her comics show up.
Some people fiercely defend pizzacake against any and all criticism, I just think the comics suck
The great thing about Lemmy is that if you don't like a post, there's another one under it.
If you didn't comment on every single one of these posts whining about how you "can't get away", you wouldn't be accused of anything.
It's showed up in two different communities that I'm subscribed to. I commented in one of those and that's when I got accused of "whining." This is the second community I'm subscribed to where it showed up, and I commented about the other comment I made about it here. The two communities are about completely different subjects.
The instance I'm on shows me where it's been crossposted to, there's at least four other communities it's in. I didn't comment on any of those since I'm not subscribed there.
But yeah, I'm the one who's stalking.
And you're still whining about it as if the comic is deliberately targeting you, that you just can't help but make those comments about how these comics get so many people complaining about them, just like you're doing. You could ignore it and move on, but here you are, part of the very thing you "hate".

It's pretty simple, though. I complained about the comic, you complained about me complaining about the comic. If one of those is a problem then surely the other is too. If the solution for me is to just shut up and endure it, that's your solution too.
Personally, I think a position of "can we please not turn the Fediverse into an echo of Reddit" is more appropriate here than a position of "stop complaining about the Fediverse turning into an echo of Reddit". But you do you I guess. It's a free community.

I'm pointing out the delusion of whining about not being able to "get away" from something that you have chosen to engage with of your own volition multiple times, and the hypocrisy of being upset by the state of the comments that you yourself are contributing to.
