I loved it when it came out and would definitely play through it again, but I'm not sure prettier graphics and a few tweaks is worth $60 to me. Since Nintendo doesn't let their first party games ever get down to a reasonable cost after a while, I'll skip this one, I think.
If you've never played it, though, it's a really fun game.
It's a great pity this game will be exclusive to the Switch. I have a Steam Deck and would like the game to be available through the Steam Store. I heard great things about it but didn't get a chance to play the original on the SNES.

I wonder why they never continued to use any of the characters like Mallow.
I'm still unsure if I should go for the remake or just play the original. There don't seem to be many changes apart from making the game easier by adding more bonus mechanics and an easy mode.
Save state and cheat codes in emulation do make make the older games easier, just depends on how much you care about modern additions like updated graphics and mechanics.
