Maybe it's Maybelline

[–] Nanook@lemmy.zip 80 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Well, it's not so easy nowadays after all the R&D that went into imitations.

Could be bamboo.

Bc the book would be made of wood? πŸͺ΅

[–] remotelove@lemmy.ca -3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That card doesn't give me much hope for AI designed PCBs. At least there isn't a shortage of PCIe 1x pins though...

I hate to break it to ya, but that pictures from like 2010. And those are SLI connectors.

God damned Millenials don't even know about Crossfire and SLI smh

[–] ashughes@feddit.uk 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hey, I’m a millennial! I not only remember Crossfire and SLI, I still hold a grudge against Nvidia for killing 3dfx.

Still miss my first eBay purchase which was a voodoo2 12mb monster from late 98.

Sold an old motherboard a month earlier so it was basically free!

I'd love more wood definetly.

In all seriousness though it’s actually worth a read. It’s fairly short too so it’s not a huge commitment

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

i do but my girlfriend definitely needs this book

sorry, cheap boomer humor. i don't even have a girlfriend.

[–] felixwhynot@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

WOMEN! AM I RIGHT GUYS???

[–] grue@lemmy.world -1 points 2 months ago

How is that a sequel? It's not even by the same author.

Aspen: you can tell it's an aspen because of the way that it is.

[–] alzymologist@sopuli.xyz 9 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Sounds like your DNS server is filtered. Try using another server (like 9.9.9.9) in your network connection.

Omg they even have some Morton and Harman! I wish they had "stones and waves" too. Thank you, I don't know how it was that I didn't know about these great people.

[–] DavidP@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Check your library system, that's where I read it.

[–] Lemmyoutofhere@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 months ago

Wood you look at that.

And this is going on my grindr picture folder... can't wait to send this to Chesty Mcdickpic.

[–] Sektor@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

It's an older meme, but it checks out.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

I want to get this book, then make a video essay on it titled "What the meme gets wrong about the meme book".

[–] Sibshops@lemmy.myserv.one 3 points 2 months ago

I'm in this picture and I don't like it. (As a fan of trees, why what were you thinking?)

[–] MalReynolds@piefed.social 3 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

In Anna's, thanks, likely useful...(to me), 1990.

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I once posted this picture in response to someone here on lemmy and they responded "I've got that book right behind me." (Possibly paraphrased)

The best way to identify wood, is with your hands. It's easier to feel the firmness and the ridges.

[–] Digit@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 month ago

Is it hard?

Then you've got wood.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 0 points 2 months ago

I have a 9-inch specimen I need you to have a look at...
