No outside time today, I had people over then a phone call and was absolutely exhausted. Got hit by the nap trap again and still feel drained.

Melbcat still got some sunshine though. She lay in her bed by the window basking.

sounds like a productive day πŸ™‚

The dice at work were a home run. Not only did I give her a full set of DnD dice but also in a colour she really likes so it was a high distinction in gift giving even if I say so myself

Whoops accidentally took a nap. It's bizarre how I had crap sleep and started at 7am for all of last week and didn't nap. Last night, my sleep wasn't as crap

I also accidentally flexed Male Pocket Privileged on a woman at work today when I stuffed a whole drink bottle into my side pocket that ALREADY had a half sized food container in there

[–] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My switch and phone fit in one pocket lol

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I can fit 6 frozen south melbourne dim sims in the pocket of the shorts I'm wearing atm.

Not so often get asked: , "are you happy to see me"?

... : "No, they were on special"

UniQlo pocket supremacy for the ladies

I think a number of brands are including pockets now but it's slow-going

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 1 day ago

Brands are slowly realising what the people want

Asking for suggestions on how I can help the homeless who are living near me.

There are people living in vans and cars and some who sleep on the footpaths.

i give money to people sleeping on footpaths and chat a moment and listen to what they have to say.

I can't really do anything substantial, I don't have the resources.

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago

Things I've heard can be really helpful are things like toothpaste and sanitary products. You can imagine if you were a woman and homeless how much harder things would be without a fresh supply of pads.

Aside from that, I'd probably go things that can keep for a while both before and after being opened like cans of lentils or chickpeas.

Got an old handbag ?https://www.sharethedignity.org.au/ Gym passes (for showers etc) Is there a community pantry nearby? These guys are a bit fussy... https://www.petsofthehomeless.org.au/ Cash even if you suspect it might be spent on something "inappropriate"

Someone in the alley is listening to a dance track that's been auto-tuned to the 9 circles of hell and back.... And it kinda slaps ✌️

The fat one has a beef with the runt which is about the only time there's action.

There are rules. You can’t feed them after midnight and they multiply if you get them wet

I'm not looking after them so that's a bonus. I'm worn out because I'm tryna catch up on my spring cleaning that I missed out on. I have today and tomorrow before the hot hits. On the hot days I'll be hopefully relaxing and washing blankets.

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

spring cleaning

Yea on the same train.

Problem for me are the windows which are louvres and really fukn annoying.

Louvres are cunts.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago

I just do the windows regularly when I clean each room. iow, windows are not separate job, they are part of the room

quietly backs up google drive The real fun on this shit will start if Google needs age verification to access Gdrive and / or docs. Which are used by many, many, manyyyy businesses.

Of course, being that the fresh hell mandate kicks in on a weekend in the middle of a period people are guaranteed to take off, we're not gonna see the real fireworks until next year.

It legit could happen given schools all use chromebooks and Google products by extension

STILL not 100% from stomach bug that started last Wednesday. Improved though. I resorted to immodium last night so I could get a proper sleep without getting up a bunch. Slept about 14 hours. Heading in to work now and I'll see how I go. Haven't been so wrecked by a stomach bug maybe ever.

My friends were like, "have you seen the videos from bondi?" To which I said I haven't. One of the upsides of not being on normal social media is not coming across those sorts of videos and having them autoplay before you have a chance to respond, doing as much psychic damage to you as possible

16 people. Holy shit.

That’s quite a lot of damage with a basic long gun.
