These are from the calendars this guy makes.

I gave these calendars as Christmas gifts last year and I bought a bunch of stickers. It’s the only thing I’ve ever bought after seeing it on TikTok and it’s worth every penny.

/r/birdswitharms exists, now we have birds with legs too.

I'm not a bird-person, but please tell me these are Tits? Then it could be a calendar of Tits 'n ass.

Red-bellied is completely accurate, you just normally don’t see the belly:

a red bellied woodpecker goofily hanging off a branch, showing off the red underside it’s named for

Red-headed was already taken:

a woodpecker with a completely bright red head and a black and white body.

I think it should be renamed "red-capped woodpecker".

That photo captured one with a very red belly!! The ones in our backyard have just a blush of orange.

I think red-capped would be a good name too! In general I’m a fan of birds having as many common names as makes sense, haha

It depends on the part of the goat being sucked I suppose. The goat may be fine with it, we need more information.

Far better names than most others get. What the hell does a C. elegans elegans look like?

This is what I've been saying my entire life. Bald eagles are a scam.

Wouldn't hurt a deer? Dude they're called that because they're shouting about it all the time (that's what their call spunds like). Racist little fuckers.

Woodpeckers don't even seem to have penises, at all?

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 8 points 1 day ago

There's also the black-headed gull, only the males have a black head and only during the mating season. The vast majority of the time the black-headed gull has a white head, just like the other 11 billion gull species

Let's see their drawing of a blue footed boobie.

[–] Hope@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

I must say, the legs on that last bird are amazingly accurate, perhaps the best depiction of any bird I've seen!

Imagine how disappointed I was the first time I saw a picture of a titmouse.
