Sobyanin earlier reported on his Max channel that 30 other Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed as they flew toward the city.

He stated that the wreckage of one of those drones fell in a park where emergency services teams are already deployed.

The Defense Ministry, in turn, announced that 287 Ukrainian attack drones were shot down in the last 24 hours over the country’s several southwestern regions.

The military institution stated that the drones were destroyed in several regions, including 118 over Bryansk, 40 over Kaluga, 40 over Moscow, 27 over Tula, 19 over Novgorod, 11 over Yaroslavl, 10 over Lipetsk, six over Smolensk, five over Kursk, five over Oryol, four over Voronezh, and two over Ryazan.

Meanwhile, the Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, reported that temporary restrictions have been imposed for the last day at Moscow’s four international airports (Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, Zhukovsky) and the Ramenskoye airport near the Russian capital, as well as at the Vladikavkaz, Grozny, Magas, and Makhachkala air terminals, to ensure flight safety.

Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, to protect the population from “the Kiev government’s genocide” and counter national security risks, according to President Vladimir Putin.
