they were mad at me for bringing one of my excellent novels, Naruto, to our lunch. I spent all of it engrossed in my book instead of talking to them, whom I see almost every. single. DAY. ok, fine, Naruto is like a teen book, but whatever! its awesome!!!
You're better off without them, real friends wouldn't cut off a relationship just because of different tastes in literature.
to be fair, I promised not to bring a book to our lunch hangouts... plus, I don't think it was the book... maybe it was the week before when I showed up to one of their birthday parties late and kinda drunk...

Jelly goes wibble wobble, while jam goes on toast.
Basically, jelly is made from strained fruit juice and jam contains crushed or chopped fruit. It's mostly a textural difference, although jam will potentially have more fiber.
