Idiot voters are much more an output of our broken system than an input. Like we're basically blaming this woman for having a terrible education, being surrounded by misinformation, not forced to but basically highly incentivized into buffoonery. Schadenfreude is an ugly hole, marvel momentarily at it's breadth and depth if you wish but take care not to fall in. There are institutional systems with singular powerful people on top, the puppet masters of these idiots, who are far better targets for scorn.

Aaand I just realized I'm on Leopards Ate My Face. Fuck me lol...See ya at the bottom of the thread!

It's just exhausting to hear "You should have voted for the Democrats" when we did have Democrats 12 of the last 20 years and they weren't some magical panacea for any of this shit either.

"Oh if only you'd just voted differently, everything would be better" is pure liberal cope. Dems from California to Vermont are experiencing all the same problems.

I just want people to be honest and admit they made a mistake, take accountability, and work on fixing themselves.

I refuse to coddle these people who will not learn. You can't keep hitting yourself in the head with a hammer and blame others.

So she'll vote Rep a 4th time because something something illegals, abortions, lgbtq...

Maybe the fifth time she'll be able to buy food. Or the 6th

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 11 points 3 days ago

or "im not one of those illegals, or [inser skin color, poc, or lgbtq+] people."

And will tell poor people that "hard work let former line workers like Elon Musk become CEOs". (Context: when capitalism came to Hungary, western corporations actively disencouraged self-employment and small businesses, claiming that regular workers at them can be promoted for hard work, and the hardest worker can even become the CEO, also our tax system is set up to screw over self employers and small businesses more, while Chinese battery factories get no taxes.)

“hard work let former line workers like Elon Musk become CEOs”.

Hard work, waking up early, no avocado toast or macha lattes, a small loan of $200 million from daddy the emerald mine owner, a "can do" attitude, and anyone can be a world-renowned CEO!

Next orange dementia grandpa will say democracy is a democratic hoax.

[–] Alaknar@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 days ago

He kinda already did - he was complaining that he can't "get everything done like the president of China", and instead having to wait for other people's approval (like, you know, the Congress).

[–] dermanus@lemmy.ca 3 points 3 days ago

I mean, it's right there in the name! Only Demon-crats support democracy! /s

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

She should be just like my mother's boyfriend, whose personal business got annihilated by Fidesz'es new tax policy on small businesses. He's now working overtime for a company for much less, and is also actively campaigning for Fidesz, because he hates seeing black people on Netflix so much.

Sounds like a wanker.

[–] Rakudjo@lemmy.world 12 points 3 days ago

Has she even told Our Great President thank you?!

[–] leadore@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

She needs to stop buying so many ~~pens~~ pencils, and limit her kids to two or three dolls, they don't need more than that. (yes Mangolini did say that regarding people upset about prices)

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 37 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Has she tried not being a poor?

[–] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Maybe she shouldnt eat avocado toast every morning and start working

[–] monkeyslikebananas2@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Bet she even has a cellphone.

And a refrigerator.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@sh.itjust.works 60 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

She's just a liar. Mr President Trump The GREATESTEST has said that economy is A+++++ so she's lying. She must be a democRAT, I mean, have you seen her color? She's clearly not a republican, she's not white enough.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 53 points 4 days ago (5 children)

Someone is having the day they're voted for. How delightful.

Okay but fuck the Lincoln project.

Republicans who supported the modern conservative movement for decades pretending they are part of the resistance, who'll supported practically all the same shit, just under a more neoliberal/neoconservative hat.

[–] sirboozebum@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

The modern Republican movement is an outgrowth of what the Reagan Republicans created.

Thank you! Far too many people fail to realize these people when MAGA is gone will still be reprehensible Republicans. They supported and worked for W Bush after all. They're not our friends and I'd just be as happy to see both put into a pit with one spork. Then whoever survives gets eaten by lions.

Totally her fault for not buying stock and instead decide to have kids she could not afford. But really her husband should be to blame for not making more money. Could he not get a job at ICE? /s

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Totally her fault for not buying stock

You joke, but we never see the "I voted for Trump three times and now I'm a fucking billionaire cause I bet on the ponies".

Even though that's exactly who is propping up the conservative movement.

[–] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago

sounds like she's just lazy. she should try getting a job that pays better.
