Assistant manager. Probably also a privately-owned store.

Additionally, he was taunting the agents (i.e. flipping the bird, etc). Let’s hope his bosses see eye to eye on this, and he doesn’t lose his job.

And if he does, we can start a GoFundMe (or whatever better alternative there is) for this hero.

If the assistant manager of a brother's chicken in Kenner can stand up for the rule of law, the lawyers that are also New Orleans city council members really have no excuse.

How can you be "interfering" with immigration orders by telling the people carrying out those orders we all have to follow the rule of law, unless those are unlawful immigration orders you're "interfering" with?

If they are unlawful, then maybe you should be asking if it's really wise for you to follow illegal orders just because some dickheads told you to.

Posting signs on city owned property that simply reminds these people they need a warrant to come in and "do their jobs" seems like a pretty bare minimum ask. Why shouldn't they have to follow the law like everybody else?

a(n) ask

When you're not on the car lot, it's just "a request".

Good on him. Sounds like he knows how to run a business better than most CEOs.

If you want people to willingly give you their business, model yourself after this young man. Sell a product they want to buy and do things that show you give a shit about them.

If you want people to boycott your business, prove how smart you are by modeling yourself after the guy at Campbell's soup. Get recorded talking shit about the poor people who buy the slop you sell.

If you want people to be forced to begrudgingly buy or use your shit product, at least until somebody creates a black market or open source version, model yourself after the oligarchs who run the private monopolies contracted and protected by the state. Prove how much you love small gubamint and private businesses by abusing your power even further, and create laws that make it illegal to participate in a freed market.

We should GoFundHim far enough to take over that store and fire the manager.

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 22 points 1 day ago

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Well you clearly aren’t familiar with the cowardice/corruption of my state politicians!

Hope the owner takes a moment to make sure their security cameras are working, and the backups have backups.

[–] DougHolland@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

More of this, please.
