That's because Donald Trump won't raise the taxes of the people in charge.
No he doesn't, because he can't.
But good to know we still talking about all the hot air escaping Trump instead of more important things happening in the US and elsewhere.
Trump is the president genius, what he says and does matters.
For many things, yes. For ending a war between two foreign countries, not really. He's basically an ambassador or negotatior for things like that. He can't make either of them do shit.
Now, he could prevent Ukraine from getting assistance, but that's about it.
what he does matters, of course. what he says… idk. what he says does not relate much to what he does. and he says awful things every day, every word a lie, and manages to dominate the news cycle for years on end. it's a constant stream of shit. we're doing ourselves a disservice by bathing in shit everyday.

Title feels highly misleading, implying it happened

The title is click bait, what the article means is that the US is about to recognize the occupied territories will be recognized as officially a part of Russia even though Russia still doesn't even control them completely after 4 years of war. Which is a big deal, still. Pretty massive break with the diplomatic line and really fucks over Ukraine. Trump and his admins just want to make money and trade with Russia, they don't care about Ukraine.
There's a reason NABU all a sudden announced that corruption investigation right as the US if forcing Ukraine's hand. I'm sure the corruption was real, but the timing and the fact that NABU was set up basically as a way for Western powers to have influence in Ukraine? Seems very calculated. NABU is not known for being good at rooting out corruption. Most Ukrainians would even agree.
