I have few things to say.

  • firstly I might be trippin but does your sysfetch say you have 17.4 Gb of RAM? HOW?
  • also I see you're using bash. at this point you might as well try zsh with omz.
  • and why VScode when already you are using neovim (or other terminal code editor)? If you reeeally need the ecosystem try Codium. I doesn't have all the exstenaions but if it has the one you need it is less bloated vscode (and gentoo users hate bloat)

also the setup is nice ig

[–] grue@lemmy.world 18 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

bash is copyleft. zsh is permissive. Therefore, bash is superior.

Fish clear winner for it's simplicity and performance.

igpu

My bet is they have 24GB total with 6GB dedicated to the iGPU.

[–] hameru@cyberplace.social 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

@Cort @aqua_cat almost!
It's actually 20GB total with 2GB for the iGPU

[–] Cort@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

Darn it, that was my next guess. 4GB soldered + 16GB since it's a laptop with a U series chip?

[–] e0qdk@reddthat.com 10 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Is that... Hatsune Miku modded into Mario 64?

[–] hameru@cyberplace.social 13 points 3 weeks ago

@e0qdk YES!

It's the triple baka pack for sm64coopdx, and it's the best thing I discovered this month, it even has online multiplayer.

Screenshot of modded multiplayer Super Mario 64, showing 3 players as Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto and Akita Neru in front of the main castle. The nametags are blurred for privacy.

yooo Niko oneshot

Curious, do you just play The World Machine edition or do you use some kind of setup to play Oneshot

[–] hameru@cyberplace.social 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

@KSPAtlas niko oneshot mentioned!

It's actually been some years since I finished that game, I was still using windows back then so I played the original steam version.

I'm pretty sure some puzzles would break in a window manager only setup, I mean, I don't even have a "Desktop" directory now, but I vaguely remember it working on KDE, so it's probably not impossible to fix.

[–] KSPAtlas@sopuli.xyz 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Have you done the clover after finishing the game thing?

[–] hameru@cyberplace.social 1 points 3 weeks ago

@KSPAtlas You mean the solstice ending? If so then yeah, it's absolute cinema.

[–] friendly_ghost@beehaw.org 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Dont know enough to rate your setup but I can rate your lighting in this shot. 10/10 lighting

[–] hameru@cyberplace.social 4 points 3 weeks ago

@friendly_ghost thank you!!

it took quite some tries to get both the screens visible while not flashbanging everything else

[–] Sivecano@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

What's that tiler?

Low-key jealous of you having so many windows on a big screen.

[–] recklessengagement@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

Fr. This post just connected two neurons in my head about what tilers are capable of

[–] mechanikate@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

looks like bspwm on X11 from the fastfetch output

[–] hameru@cyberplace.social 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

@mechanikate @Sivecano yep, it's bspwm!

idk why my other reply saying that hasn't appeared on lemmy, federation is weird sometimes, hopefully this one will go through

Nice Setup and Picture and also the lighting!

Seriously though, how do you take such pictures? I tried and failed multiple times already. Too dark, bad angles, blinding lights, you name it.

[–] hameru@cyberplace.social 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

@VegOwOtenks tysm!

lol I guess when you take 50+ different pics you're bound to get some good ones

if actually want the details, my friend was holding the camera behind me to get this angle, we also turned off the lights, so the screens appeared brighter, and used only a star projector thingy for the faint purple glow

[–] HakunaHafada@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I think the downward-facing light bar at the top of your monitor is the real key here, illuminating your desk and all the things on it, socks included.

[–] hameru@cyberplace.social 1 points 3 weeks ago

@HakunaHafada True, at first I thought the white light bar would just make everything seem kinda washed out, but I guess it actually works really well.
