Come to Quark’s, Quark’s is Fun!

General off-topic chat for the crew of startrek.website. Trek-adjacent discussions, other sci-fi television, navigating the Fediverse, server meta (within reason), selling expired cases of Yamok sauce, it’s all fair game.

Leads one to believe Musk bought twitter in order to facilitate these foreign influence campaigns

Among other things.

Let's not forget that he doesn't need to facilitate the campaigns themselves, Russia and China will keep pushing those in an attempt to destabilise the west.

What Musk is doing is amplifying those voices, legitimising the campaigns - at least seemingly.

lol, west doesn't even need the help

tiktok and twitter didn't/aren't destroying america

american families, american churches, american schools, american businesses, american politicians were doing that just fine before tiktock or twitter were ever a thing

The internet is not reality and everyday it moves further away. The technology is used to manipulate, confuse, coerce, convince and foment conflicts. We're addicted to this technology to get information but we're getting is misinformed more and more every day.
