I'm currently still on LastPass. I've been meaning to spin up my own password manager that just stores everything locally.

For a very long time I only used browser stored passwords; at one point I wanted to use Vivaldi on my smartphone, but at the beginning it didn't have password sync, so I had to figure out something. I think this is when I first tried LastPass, but got discouraged from using it by 1) their security incidents and 2) them removing mobile device sync from their free tier. This is when I switched over to BitWarden, which I've been using ever since; I'm currently even considering hosting my own instance of it.

I use enpass and maybe I didn't search hard enough but I didn't see anyone here mention it. I for the most part use it for 2fa, and because it syncs to my own cloud storage account, does anyone have bad experiences with enpass?

I use 1Password. Love it so far! it's been a smooth experience and it is cross platform.

Enpass user since it was first featured on Android police. Highly recommend it. Haven't tried others though so don't really know if I should switch.

One another Bitwarden user chiming in!

I started with LastPass but they started making things difficult enough on the mobile side that I decided to jump ships. Bitwarden also is a smoother app to use - LastPass felt clunkier (I've used only the free side on both).

I held off on using a password manager for a long time. I used an open source one for my buisness for a while but almost lost the file in a computer failure, lucky I had a backup.... . somewhere.

After that I looked at a cloud option and finally settled on one, then the business died down and I kept using it for my personal stuff. I can't believe I didn't use one earlier. Life is so much easier now, no need to go between my bad password, Medium, and strong. Everything just gets a random password now and no need to worry about a string of 2fa messages hitting my phone when a password gets pwned.

I use one on desktop. For me as pong as the passwords are stored locally or at least end to end encrypted if stored online, then its secure enough. Assuming that the master password is secure.

Been using 1password family subscription for years. Absolutely swear by it.

I use SafeInCloud, compatible with all the operaring systems I use and I only had to pay a one time fee of 5 dollars (if I remember correctly).

Been using the Firefox password manager ever since I've been using Firefox on all devices. Used Firefox clockwise before that. Planning to switch to a self hosted vaultwarden+bitwarden setup. Any guides or pointers are welcome.

I use bitwarden, and have a random password for every account. Moreso I also have a random email for each service I sign up for, using Cloudflare email routes.

It gives me the peace of mind that when one account is compromised I just reset the password, in case of spam: change the email address, and continue on with my day.

For work I use KeePass and 1password, but I do prefer Bitwarden due to its price. 1Password is more feature rich with it's types of credentials you can store, however. It's a nice-to-have that I can store TOTP as well and that I can share passwords with my partner
