All the while I'm migrating away from self-hosting NC after years of waiting for critical features and instead have to spend all my energy trying to convince the devs to rethink breaking changes.
Repeating tasks? Yes it's implemented. But you can't use it because it's not part of the front-end. Instead, here's a new "Task" notification that breaks the built-in alert function of the defacto FOSS Android task app, tasks.org. Need notifications? Just use the web-UI and set up a PUSH system on your server. Using Tasks.org as a third-party GUI when using repeating tasks? Too bad, but repeating tasks is implemented in NC you know? You just can't use it with the front-end.
At this point I consider the notification function in Joplin a more reasonable task trigger than the entire Nextcloud CalDAV ecosystem and bloody Loop Habit Tracker for android a more reasonable repeating alert system.
Sigh, rant over? Nah, just paused until the next time NC triggers me with traumatic memories of having to manually revert the chenges that caused my desktop e-mail client to get messed up when interacting with a third party SMTP server because NC Mail thought it was a great idea to start machine classifying important e-mails with basically no training data.
