  • Brush: Chisel and Hound – Screwdjriver with v28 Fanchurian
  • Razor: Thiers Issard Le Dandy (5/8", square point, carbon steel)
  • Lather: Catie's Bubbles – DFTR
  • Post Shave: Chatillon Lux and Declaration Grooming – Weinstrasse
  • Fragrance: Chatillon Lux – Weinstrasse

Stellar shave with DFTR this morning. I really enjoy CB's prem base, and DFTR hits the mood.

I agree. Chris has a winner with that base. I've mentioned this before, but I see DFTR and think Don't Fear the Reaper 🤨 I can't unsee this.

I like your backronym better! Then again, I have another two and a half decades or so until the original becomes relevant for me:)

[–] gcgallant@sub.wetshaving.social 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You will not believe how fast the decades go by. Cliché, I know …

I know what you mean! The other day, I was in a train and there was a group of recruits on leave from boot camp, and suddenly it hit me that none of these men were alive yet back when I went through boot camp even though I remember it like it was yesterday. Decades gone poof.

I find it quite odd having conversations with my adult children in relating experiences that seem current to me, and that relate to being an adult, but actually occurred before they were born. I bet you will find this with Djunior in years to come. I hope he is well, btw.

I have that sometimes when taking to my wife. We've been together for 16 years, and I sometimes forget that there was quite a bit of time before that.

I hope he is well

He's doing very well, thanks! He started school this summer, time flies 😅

Septidi 17 Brumaire an 234 de la Révolution, jour de Cresson

I was not quite sure what to use, so I went for a sure combo. Very good shave.

Have a good day!

I keep forgetting to post these, but this was a very nice second luxury shave. This revamped President is plated in gold. For some reason I really like it. The originals (I have one) were done in Rhodium. This model is pretty aggressive as a shaver. I like it a lot. (Obvious, I guess, since I have two of them.)
