When people talk shit about journalism or the news, I feel like they don't realize that this is what it should be, confronting people in power hiding from the truth of their actions. Genocidal fucks usually need to at least appear to be doing 'the right thing' for their people, but the right questioning can make it clear what they are doing.
I think when we talk shit about journalists and the news, it is exactly because we know what it should be, and its glaring lack should be derided
