Ice is sexually assaulting people.

Let them prove they aren’t.

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 16 points 1 hour ago

Yeah, as everyone knew would happen when the cowards began hiding their identities and acting like a secret police on amfetamins.

"Warns" "urges" Yeah that'll do ot

[–] demizerone@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago

But then Nana will know they raised a little failure of a fasciat and their immigrant wives won't make them pancakes.

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 2 points 52 minutes ago

The majority of ICE then

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 30 points 2 hours ago

Ice are criminals

[–] Quexotic 31 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago) (1 children)

Criminals posing as US immigration officers have carried out robberies, kidnappings, and sexual assaults in several states,

I'd need to see some exceptionally compelling evidence to be convinced they weren't actually just ICE officers doing this.

And later in the story...

A senior ICE official tells WIRED: “Anyone caught impersonating themselves as a federal immigration agent will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Impersonating a federal immigration officer endangers public safety and erodes trust in law enforcement.”

Only the bootliquors still have any trust remaining. Fucking trust. Lol

They're doing their best.

Organized gangs finally had their lightbulb moment?

[–] drunkpostdisaster@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

This civil war is going to get fucking weird.

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 34 points 5 hours ago (3 children)

Well, that assumes “organized gang” and “ICE” are mutually exclusive….

[–] chaosCruiser@futurology.today 3 points 46 minutes ago (1 children)

In Cyberpunk, the NCPD is basically just another gang. More organized than the Valentinos or Tiger Claws, but pretty much the same by the end of the day.

In real life though, ICE seems to be a lot like a gang too. Have they pivoted to drugs and violent extortion yet? You know, if you smuggle guns and slaves, you can make a lot of money?

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 1 points 37 minutes ago

There's no way ICE hasn't been involved in illegal drug smuggling for decades. It doesn't work without corrupt people in those kinds of positions. DEA and CBP as well.

[–] 100_kg_90_de_belin@feddit.it 6 points 2 hours ago

Don't trash "organized gangs", they're better at what they do than ICE

[–] Kellenved@sh.itjust.works 8 points 5 hours ago

They’re actually just taking their cue from the biggest gang

[–] cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca 26 points 4 hours ago

Lol, gee I never saw this coming....

[–] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 89 points 6 hours ago (2 children)

Shoot on sight. They’re probably fake.

[–] CodeInvasion@sh.itjust.works 11 points 3 hours ago (3 children)

You can only win a gun fight if you have superior numbers and firepower. Otherwise it's just certain death for the assaulted.

We need to bring back the concept of a citizen militia.

[–] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 10 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

Drones and payloads. Guns are last century.

[–] general_kitten@sopuli.xyz 6 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

making guncotton at home is not that hard but then i remembered its US so you can probably go buy gunpowder by the gallon from your local walmart or something

[–] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 5 points 1 hour ago

You joke, but yes you can.

[–] drunkpostdisaster@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Yeah. Having watched a good amount of Ukraine footage I now flinch whenever I hear buzzing sounds. We are going to have a generation of people afraid of the open air.

[–] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 1 points 53 minutes ago (1 children)

Republicans better think about inside only events. No one even needs line of sight.

[–] tornavish@lemmy.cafe 1 points 27 minutes ago

Well, public opinion won’t favor blowing up people in blow up costumes dancing on the roadside. 🙃

[–] discosnails@lemmy.wtf 3 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Disagree, initiative and proper cover can really even the odds. Ymmv.

[–] krooklochurm@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 minutes ago

High tech lasers from the future also help a lot.

Doubly so if they're supported by omniscient kill orbs from the orb wars of 3725.

Win win even if they're the real deal

[–] NotAnotherLemmyUser@lemmy.world 31 points 5 hours ago

Oh, oh, I know! How about they release an app, or a website, where we can take a picture of the face of any of these Agents, and it will confirm if they're actually one or not.

On a serious note, it would be very useful to have a better system of confirming who is an actual agent or not. Something like plugging their badge number into a website and they have to confirm a daily code or similar.

[–] boydster@sh.itjust.works 78 points 7 hours ago

Take off the masks, you fucking cowards

[–] thoughtfuldragon@lemmy.blahaj.zone 114 points 7 hours ago

Oh my nobody could have seen this coming. (Sarcasm)

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 54 points 7 hours ago

And agents who don't do this, or do other illegal acts should be dealt with. Right? Hello?

[–] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 44 points 6 hours ago

Like we’ve been saying this whole time!

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 23 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Maybe they could go after the real criminals then?

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 9 points 5 hours ago

This is starting to sound like a 2nd amendment issue.
